The most popular skirt we need to have in our closet this summer is the A-line skirt. The most popular brands offer them in various colors, lengths, combined with lace or small details (pockets, belts). 

It is a simple product that is suitable for beginner. Take it in a variety of fabrics: lightweight linen or cotton for the summer, and woolen fabric for the winter. By shortening the patterns by 30-40 cm and using faux leather, you will impress everyone with its elegance and style. Just remember to add lining details.

  • If you have the Adobe Acrobat Pro version for printing, you can choose to print only the sizes you need.
Fabric suggestion:

You will need fabric 145cm (57in) wide:  

  • 260cm (102 1/3 in) -295cm (116 1/7in) length or 2.85 - 3.25 yards. Select the required length according to your fabric type and garment size in the table.

Additional materials needed:

  • Fusing interlining: 90 cm (35 3/7 in) wide 115 cm (42 2/7 in) length (or 1.3 yards);
  • 7 Button;
  • Treads.
Cutting information:

The patterns are made in 2 variations:

  • with seam allowances;
  • without seam allowances. 

Choose the option that suits you best. 

Without seams, I recommend choosing if you are going to model a new model or sew with different 
seams than those provided for in the model. 
If you are not going to change anything, then use the patterns with seam allowances.

What seam allowances did we use in the patterns?

  • Upper waist seam - 0,7 cm (2/7 in);
  • Skirt bottom - 4cm (1 4/7 in);
  •  Other seams - 1cm (2/5 in).
